The exact amount of time it takes to get your New York refund varies and if you requested a check that adds about a week to the processing time. The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance website does not appear to state the estimated refund processing time but recommends e-filing. Check your refund status here.  You can sign up for email notifications for progress updates of your refund here.
