How much of my refund can be seized?

Can child support take my entire refund even if my amount to pay back is less then the amount of my refund?

I got a notice saying that my state refund was offset to pay back child support, which i was expecting. Then today i got another notice saying that my federal refund has been applied to past due obligations.  Does this mean my entire federal refund was seized, or just the remainder of what need to be paid? I haven't received any notice in the mail yet.

My federal refund was much more then what i should of even owed before my state refund was seized.

It depends.  It could be part or your entire refund, depending on the amount due, and if there was anything else due.
