How to file after submitting an extension?

I filled an extension due to being overseas. I went to file my return and the efile status says the return was accepted by the IRS. How do I file my final return?

Once you file your return and it is accepted by the irs, that is your final return, unless it needs to be amended for some reason - additional income, more deductions, etc. If this is so, then you need to complete an amended return and file it.
