If you have filed your 2018 or 2019 return, then you do not need to do anything thing else to receive a qualifying stimulus payment. The IRS will use the information from your tax return to send your payment. If you chose the direct deposit method to receive your refund then the stimulus payment will be directly deposited also. However, If you chose a check in the mail for your refund method then the IRS will mail your stimulus check to the same address.

If you receive social security benefits and are not required to file a return then the IRS will send your stimulus check by using the same payment method that you use to receive your benefits. You do not need to do anything to receive your payment.

If you do not receive social security income and are not normally required to file a return then you should register to receive your stimulus payment. Please view this IRS link and use the Get Your Payment application, available mid-April, to check the status of your stimulus payment and update your direct deposit information if you need to.
