I already received my refund. Now I find out that I should allocate my policy amounts with another taxpayer on Form 8962. How do I return part of the refund?

If you made a mistake in your 2016 federal income tax return, you will need to amend that return. The amended return will reveal how much of your refund you may need to return to the United States Treasury, and provide the forms and mailing address for doing so.
