You can double-check your entries by taking the following steps:

1.) Federal

2.) Income and Expenses

3.) Self Employment Income

4.) Start

On the screen that says Your 2018 Self Employed Work Summary, is there more than one entry? If there's only one entry, is this the number that seems abnormally high to you?

You can go into each entry and review the income that was entered, and make changes, here.

You can also view the total entries by previewing your Form 1040:

1.) On the left-hand side of your screen, click Tax Tools

2.) Click Tools

3.) On the window that pops up, click View Tax Summary

4.) On the left-hand side of your screen, click Preview My 1040.

You can verify on this page that your income has not been duplicated and is showing the proper values. Your income will be on Lines 1-5 and your self-employment will appear further down on Schedule 1.
