Question

I am completing an amended return for my state and federal taxes for 2021 due to a late W-2. But my fed and state numbers did not go to zero when I started amending.

Why did my calculator not go to zero for my federal and state taxes owed or refund owed in the browser on Turbo Tax.

If the refund meter did not go to $0 when you started then there might have been an update that affected your refund/balance due.
