I am needing a copy of my Turbo Tax documents because I need for IRS and college. I have paid a lot of money to have my taxes done through turbo tax

I would like to get a refund of what I paid to Turbo Tax . I made an appt with HR Block to have my taxes done right. I am in college and my taxes need to be done correct which Turbo Tax has failed to do

If you have filed your tax return then the only way to correct any tax data errors that you may have made is to amend the tax return.

To access your prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show. Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created. TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

For a fee of $43 you can get a complete federal tax return from the IRS by completing Form 4506 - http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf

Once you have filed there is no refund of the Online TT fee to be gotten and if you used the Downloaded version you had only 60 days from the date of purchase to request a refund of those fees.

Explain what you mean by this:

How did TurboTax fail to do your do-it-yourself tax return correctly? The calculations done by the software program are based on the data entered by the user. If you entered incorrect or incomplete data, that would be a user error. Or if you did not take all the steps necessary to file the return, then that would also be a user responsibility. You have to go all the way through the FILE section and click a big orange button that says "Transmit my returns now" in order to e-file. E-filing has been closed since the October deadline, so now the only way to file a 2020 return is by mail. If your e-file was rejected, or if you did not e-file the return correctly you can still do so but only by mail.

You say that you are a college student so we can guess that you have not had lots of experience with filing tax returns yet. Tell us what went wrong so we we will know how to help.

TurboTax does not do your taxes for you. You do your taxes yourself, using TurboTax as a tool, like using a calculator. TurboTax is an elaborate special-purpose calculator.

TurboTax does have a service where a tax professional will do your taxes for you. It's called TurboTax Live Full Service. You might want to look into that if you prefer to pay someone to do your taxes for you instead of doing it yourself.
