I am not able to amend my return on TT 2017. When I open the file it says I need form 8606-T, which is now ready. Because of this I never see the welcome page to amend.

I am aware that to amend a return you choose the option at the bottom left from the Welcome page. When I open my return the first page shows the alert that form 8606-T, which I was waiting on, is now ready. I have already filed and received my refund. Now I need to amend but I am not able to find the option.

You will need to access the Amended return through Federal, Other Tax Situations and (under Other Tax Forms) click on the button beside Amend a return.

Please wait until you have received your original refund amount if you were expecting one. You will need to print, sign and file your amended return by mail.
