Question

I checked the “check status now” it still says pending, but it also says it was received on the 25th...it’s been past the 48 hour mark, now what?

The IRS only just starting to accept e-filed returns today, January 29, 2018. So it will continue to show pending until the IRS either accepts or rejects your return. All returns that were filed prior to January 29th were kept on TurboTax's servers until the IRS officially opened up to start accepting them today. Once the IRS has accepted your return, then you will allow 24-48 hours to pass before you start checking your refund status here Where's My Refund? on the IRS's website. Also see When will I get my IRS tax refund? for more details.

What does Pending mean?
