Question

I did my tax return in April. I sent the IRS the information they had requested late September. Why do I still not have my refund? Everybody is having this issue.

Do you mean that you mailed the information that the IRS requested? The IRS is working on opening over 11 million pieces of mail that piled up during the pandemic. The envelope you sent to them might still be buried in that pile somewhere. All you can do is wait for them to pull it out and process the information.
