Question

I did not claim my child last year on my taxes but will this year. I missed the forum yesterday so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you need to fix last year and claim her? For 2021 just add her under My Info.

When you claim your child as a dependent you will need to enter the child's information in My Info--including the child's Social Security number. When it asks you if the child paid for over half his own support say NO to that question. If your child is under the age of 18 at the end of 2021 you can get the child tax credit and if you did not get the third stimulus for the child make sure you look at the recovery rebate credit in the Federal Review section.
