I did not receive the full amount of my state tax return.

I received 184 out of my 522 for my state return. Why is that?

A possibility is that your refund was reduced by the state either to correct an error or through a refund offset.

You'll get an explanatory letter from the government if your refund differs from what was on your filed return.
