I didn’t get my taxes from last year. How do I claim it this year? I did get my stimulus checks in the amount of 1500

Was your 2020 return efiled, or filed by mail?  Was it accepted for processing by the IRS?  The IRS has a backlog of several million returns.

The IRS will not allow you to add last year's and this year's tax together.

• If you never filed a 2020 return you can buy the 2020 program. Go to File your 2020 taxes.
• If you filed your 2020 return and never received your refund check Where’s My Refund? You can also call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040. Be aware. The phone lines are backed up. The IRS opens at 7 a.m. local time in every time zone. The earlier you call, the better your chance of speaking with someone.

If you received the third stimulus last year, include the amount on your 2021 income tax return. The IRS needs that information of make sure you get the correct refund,.
