Question

I do not have my wife's W-2. Should I complete my return without it?

My wife's W-2 has to be accessed using a company number and we do not have that. What do I do?

File an extension. If you file without your wife's W-2, you'll have to amend your return. Can you get the company number tomorrow? Or maybe your wife can contact her company's payroll department. They may be able to get her access or send her a copy of the W-2,

 

To file an extension.

  1. Type extension in Search in the upper right
  2. Select Jump to extension
  3. Select Start Easy Extension
