Question

I entered husbands & my income, but when I check to see if we qualified for eitc I forgot to put his income, how was this not flagged? Now I have to amend my return?

Why did it not catch the income difference? I added both in the income section but when I used the assistant to see if we qualified for eitc it said I did bc I accidentally left out spouses income, should have caught that, I would think?

it you entered your husband's and your income in turbotax the filed return should be correct. but you should check it to be sure. if it did there's nothing to amend. the assistant may be a separate app that is not tied in to your actual return so it would have no way of knowing you left out your husband's income.
