I entered the wrong account number an didn’t realize until after I filed. How do I track my check getting sent in the mail

You cannot track it.  When the IRS sends your refund check it will be sent by first class mail--no tracking number.

 

Banking information for direct deposit is wrong

If you entered incorrect banking information for your refund, you can change it if your return is rejected.  If it is accepted, however, it is too late to change it.  The bank will reject the refund and send it back to the IRS.  Then the IRS will issue a paper check and mail it to the address you put on your tax return.  Expect a delay of at least a couple of weeks to receive your refund.

Where's My Refund? will provide the information on your refund. First your bank will need to reject the deposit, then the IRS will notate on Where's My Refund? when they mail out the paper check to you.
