Question

I filed an amended 2020 return (1040x) through Turbotax on May 14th but it still does not appear on IRS.gov. When will it be processed?

The amended return was filed electronically and was accepted by the IRS (according to TurboTax). It has been over 3 weeks but still does not appear on the IRS lookup tool. I am owed a payment so trying to figure out when it will be processed.

Amended returns normally take at least  4 to 6 months  to process so you have some time to wait in this abnormal tax year.

Thanks for the response! I understand it can take a long time to fully process, my main concern is it doesn't seem to be showing up at all.
