I filed an injured spouse form for MA and filled in the numbers from my state tax return and they reduced my refund. How could this be? Any helps appreciated!

If you filed Massachusetts Form M-8379, Nondebtor Spouse Claim and Allocation for Refund Due with your joint state return, the state would have only allowed the amount allocated to you as a refund, not the entire amount shown on your Massachusetts return.
