Question

I filed electronically, it's been 3 days but the status until now is still pending, should I be worry?

It can vary but typically it takes 24-48 hours. However, for some taxpayers, the identity-protection safeguards implemented by the IRS in recent years may account for longer wait times. If you filed 3 days ago, the weekend may play a part of the return not received yet. The website only updates Monday through Friday. 

No two returns are alike, and many different factors can affect the timing of your refund after the IRS receives your return for processing.

Once you've been accepted, start tracking your federal refund at the IRS Where's My Refund site.
