Question

I filed for a friend and her refund still says "Tax return is still processing" on the IRS website. It is the first time she's filed and has a dependent. On Turbo Tax it says her Federal Return has been accepted. Any help is appreciated.

    Accepted only means the IRS or state verified your identity and accepted your return FOR PROCESSING.  Then the IRS processes it and then they APPROVE it.

     

    Once they accept your return then Turbo Tax is done with their part and doesn't get any updates on your refund.
