Question

I filed my federal tax return in March. The IRS did send me a letter and I mailed back the information they needed 8 weeks ago. I still have not received my tax return.

I went on the where's my refund tool and it still says processing. Not sure what other steps I can take to get my refund?

There is really nothing else you can do. The IRS is way behind in processing returns especially those that required additional information.  All you can do is track the status on the IRS tracking web site:
