I filed my return to get deposited into a closed bank account on accident. How do I change how I want to receive payment if I’ve already filed?

Is it possible to edit an already filed return sonic a change the way I receive the payment? If not then what is going to happen since the account is closed?

Once the tax return has been filed the method of receiving the tax refund cannot be changed. Since the account is closed the bank will return the tax refund to the IRS. The IRS will then mail a refund check to the address on the tax return.
