I filed my taxes 2/11, they were transmitted 2/12 and the IRS shows that it is still being processed and yet my fiance filed 2 weeks after me and got hers already

Not sure why mine is taking so long? No way to contact the IRS either which is insane.

You are not alone.  The IRS does not process First In First Out.  TT refund dates are just estimates, based on the usual IRS goal of 21 days.  But it is taking longer this year, due to all the extra stimulus filings and a remaining backlog in processing 2019 returns left over from the COVID shutdown.  In addition, IRS Where's My Refund site has been erratic and unreliable.

 

However, if TT told you your return was Accepted, then the IRS has it for processing.  Once that happens, TT receives no further updates, and the IRS has been imploring taxpayers not to call.  So please continue to be patients, as lots of folks are waiting.   Also see:
