Question

I filed the wrong taxes for this year. I was suppose to file 2024 and filed 2023 I need help.

I accidentally filed 2023 taxes when I should have filed 2024. What do I do. I tried to amend through turbo tax, but I said I needed to wait for February 15 ,2024 to amend and now it’s saying to wait till February 2024

    Please clarify your question.

     

    • Did you file an original 2024 tax return?
    • What year did you select for the amended return? 2023 or 2024?
    • The  restriction dates should have been 2025 not 2024.
    • Did you do an amendment with a 2023 desktop version of TurboTax?
