Hello, earlier this year I did my taxes and filled as a dependent, because that is what I ave been doing for the past couple of years. I found out that I no longer qualify as a dependent, and my parents didn't claim me this year. Do I need to amend my taxes to show I was independent? How do I go about that?
My taxes for this year have already been accepted and I have received my refund check.
