I first submitted my refund saying nobody could claim me as a dependent. However, that was incorrect and my dad will claim me. I amended my return to correct this information and now I owe hundreds of dollars? Why?

When you are claimed as someone else's dependent, you do not get the $4050 personal exemption (the person claiming you does) so any income over $6300 is taxable.
