The IRS states that most refunds are received within 21 days from the time a return has been accepted and a refund option is selected. The IRS will hold the refunds claiming EITC and ACTC-related returns until Mid-February.

If your Federal return has been accepted please, wait 24 hours before looking it up at Where's My Refund? Sometimes it may take a little longer to show up in their system. Then, the IRS will give you an estimated refund deposit date.

Earned Income Credit (you can receive with or without having a dependent) or Additional Child Tax Credit?

What’s additional child tax credit is that what you get for claiming your child

Yes, you would receive Additional Child Tax Credit if you have a dependent and if your Child Tax Credit is greater than the total amount of income taxes you owe, as long as you had an earned income of at least $3,000.

I went and looked back at the thing and it says yes

Okay, that means the IRS may hold it until February 15, 2018 but will deposit it no later than February 27, 2018.
