Question

I got charged for amount of my refund. How can I return my money back and get refund?

It depends on your circumstances whether there is a balance due or a refund.

 

If you were filing just for the stimulus payments, but you had actually already received them, then the Recovery Rebate Credit will be recalculated to 0.

 

If you think the amended return was done incorrectly, then you can file an amended return on the first amended return. Otherwise, you would have to pay the balance.

Check for any state taxes after the amended return, too.
