I got my W-2 from the IRS website and it doesn't have the full EIN

How much of the EIN number (9 digits) do you have?

You may be able to search online using that partial number and/or business name.

You may need to ask your employer's payroll, human resources, or accounting department for their Employer Identification Number (EIN).

You may also be able to search for the EIN number online if the employer has publicly-traded stock.

• Search for your company's annual report (10-K filing), e.g. "Walmart 10-K," "Amazon annual report," etc.
• The EIN will be labeled IRS Employer Identification No.
• This might not work if your employer has multiple EINs.
