I had to edit my state return. I submitted the new one & it hasn’t updated yet. Will it go through?

What exactly did you do to "edit" your state return? If you had already e-filed it and you just went onto it and made changes--the changes went nowhere. You cannot change a filed tax return that way.

The only way to make changes to a tax return that has been filed and accepted is to prepare an amended return that you print, sign and mail. Change that state return back to its original appearance and then amend it correctly.
