I had to file an amended return for 202, last year. I filed the return and I was supposed to have an answer by December 2024 however, I haven’t heard anything.

I called the IRS about this two months ago. They told me not to worry about it that they were underhanded and it would take longer time. I don’t wanna be charged any more money.

Do not expect quick results from amending. It can take four months or more for the IRS to process an amended return.
