I have a balance due on my taxes after an ammended return and I don't know why.
I changed it to where my father can have me as a dependent and now I have a balance due.
When you are claimed as a dependent, you pay taxes on $4,050 more income than you do if you are not claimed. When you removed your personal exemption on your return that made your taxable income more and made your tax more than on your original return.
