I have a form 1040X in my 2019 tax return and I have no idea how to remove it from my return - how can I remove that status from my return?

When you have form 1040X in your 2019 return, that means you added/changed information from the original e-filed return. Have you e-filed or filed by mail the amended form 1040X to IRS?

If yes, the 1040X is part of your tax year 2019 filing and should not be removed.

If no, there are two possibilities:

(1) you initiated the amendment process within TurboTax, but there is no change entered. You can just ignore the Form 1040X.

(2) you changed/entered new data but later decide it is not necessary - you can download the 2019 amendment desktop program and .tax data file and correct it in your own computer. Please call TurboTax if you need further assistance.
