Have you already filed your return and are seeing this message on the IRS Where’s My Federal Refund? site or your State website?

There may have been a communication or connection error on your computer. Please try these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Close TurboTax, restart your computer, and reopen TurboTax. Try to submit your return again.
  2. Delete your  temporary internet files (cache & cookies). Please click on the common browser below for instructions on how to delete your temporary internet files. Once completed, log back into TurboTax and try to submit your return.

Note: You will need your social security number, filing status, and refund amount in order to track your refund.

Be sure when checking Where’s My Federal Refund? site that you are entering only your Federal refund amount. This can be found on your Federal form 1040, line 21a. If you paid any fees out of your federal refund, use the refund figure prior to the deduction of he fees. Also if you filed joint, be sure to enter the filers name that appears first on the return.

If the problem persists, keep checking back, there may be a glitch or update happening on the IRS or State website.
