I have been waiting over 9wks for a paper federal return. How long can it take?
I filedmy Federal Taxes 9wks ago and still have not received a response. How long will it take before I get a refund?
The IRS is closed at this time & the IRS is not currently able to process individual paper tax returns. If you already have filed via paper but it has not yet been processed, do not file a second tax return or write to the IRS to inquire about the status of your return or your economic impact payment. They will start processing mailed in returns once they re-open.
