I have entered my routing number but it says that the number is not a bank routing number

Your bank routing number is a nine-digit code that's based on the U.S. Bank location where your account was opened. It's the first set of numbers printed on the bottom of your checks, on the left side. 

 

At the bottom of a check, you will see three groups of numbers. The first group is your routing number, the second is your account number and the third is your check number.
