Solved

I have not received my K-1 but know the exact amount that will be on it. Can I file my return or do I have to extend?

You should not file your return until it is complete and all information is included on your return, including all sources of income. Your tax liability and credits will not reflect accurately if your return is filed without complete information. This could cause delays in processing by the IRS, as they do an income match with the documents they have received.
