I have paid for e-filing my N. C. State tax, but since I have to mail my federal tax return it isn't possible to e-file state. How do I get a refund?

I have to attach a1099-B to my federal return.  It seems that the state return cannot be e-filed before the federal is filed.

If you're using the online platform, there is no additional charge to e-file either a federal or state return.  

Your payment was for the state tax preparation program.  You can elect to print and mail both returns.
