I have received state yet why haven’t I received federal?

The federal return is handled by the IRS and State returns are handled by each individual State. So they almost always will come at different times. 

If your return was accepted less than 21 days ago, hang in there. It can take anywhere from a few days to 3 weeks to go from acceptance to approval. 

For the most up to date information regarding your return you would want to check your status on the IRS Where’s My Federal Refund? site.  Updates are made daily, usually overnight. You may also download the IRS2Go app to check your Federal refund status.
