Solved

I indicated that I didn't want my refund to be applied to my 2019 taxes for NJ, but the change is not reflected in the return.

Here's the fix:

If you have not filed your state taxes, please try the following to undo applying your state refund to next year:

  • Sign in to your account
  • Go to My Account (Please ensure you have gone past the orange, ''Take me to my return'' button before you select "My Account")
  • Select Tools>Delete a form > Scroll down to the State section and then select the Estimated Tax Worksheet
  •  Click Delete>Delete Selected Form > Continue> Continue With My Return
  •  Click State Taxes > Edit Return
