Question

I just changed to Resident Alien in 2024 and I have e-filed tax return using Turbo. I just found that I have a form 1042-S. Do I need to amend my tax return?

I got Form 1042-S from my employer because of the income tax treaty between the U.S. and China. I was F1 student in 2024. But I was 6 year in 2024 so just changed to RA.

Yes, you will need to amend and add that additional income.
