Question

I just e-filed a federal return and entered an incorrect date of issue for the state drivers license. How can I correct this?

Can I correct information entered for the state drivers license after I have efiled the federal return?

    They use that to verify you.  So if it rejects you can fix it and resend it.

    Once a tax return has been filed it cannot be changed, canceled or retrieved

     

    That will not affect your federal tax return and may not affect the state return.  If the state return is rejected then you can correct the error and e-file the state tax return again.
