I just got 303$ from the IRS for no reason. My federal return is 903$ and i already got my state return. What is this money?

The IRS will send you a letter explaining why they adjusted your refund. It usually comes after the check. Watch your mail.

 

The IRS has been adjusting tax returns which have the wrong stimulus payment amounts. The IRS may be sending you a payment because you got less than the full amount of stimulus you were entitled to.

 

The IRS may have adjusted your for a credit you did not claim.
