I just got a letter from the state of Missouri that my taxes last year were never filed. Turbo tax said they were filed but I now have a bunch of fees and penalties

Does the letter say you did not file----or does the letter say you did not PAY your state tax due? Your only proof that you paid will be your own bank or credit card records. Sometimes we see users who thought they could pay their state from the federal refund but that is impossible. Check to see if you have proof that you paid.
