Yes you can. If you have not e-filed or mailed your tax return already you can change how you want to receive your refund, go to the "File" section and enter/review/update to make the change:

  • Login to TurboTax your account and go into your tax timeline, select the File tab.
  • There are three steps listed. Click on Start/Revisit next to Step 2.
  • You'll have the choice for in my bank for direct deposit or paper check to receive in the mail, make sure the I want my refund deposited into this account box is unchecked.
  • Select direct deposit and enter your information and then click continue at the bottom.

If you already selected to print your returns but haven't done that and need to get back into your tax return follow these steps first:

  1. Sign into TurboTax if you haven't already.
  2. On the Tax Home screen, scroll down and select Add a State (don't worry, we're not adding a state) to access your tax forms and worksheets.

Your best option will be to e-file your tax return as the IRS is not currently processing mailed returns. Please see this: https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-operations-during-covid-19-mission-critical-functions-continue
