I just realized my taxes have a form 8995. I didn't need to use it this year and it's 0 however on some lines down it shows some amounts, did that affect my return?

No, it won't affect your return if there is nothing on the form. As ykhaburzaniya2 pointed out, the entry may have come from another form in your tax return, or it may just have carried forward from last year.  

Here are some of the many forms that trigger Form 8995:

• Self-employment of any kind, including 1099-NEC or 1099-MISC that is treated as SE income.
• Partnership interests.
• K-1 forms, even those from investments.
• Form 1099-DIV with an amount in box 5.

Sometimes it can be triggered by entering $0 in all the fields that don't apply to you. In general that is a bad idea. In most cases, you can leave blank the things that don't apply. When a number is required, the screen will say so. 

If you haven't filed yet, and you have none of the types of income listed above, you can delete the Form 8995. If you are using TurboTax Online:

1. From inside the return, scroll down to Tax Tools on the bottom of the left side menu.
2. Select Tools.
3. Click on Delete a form (third on the list at the bottom of the screen).
4. Find Form 8995 on the list of forms.
5. Click Delete to the right.
6. Confirm your Delete.
7. Click Continue in the lower right. 
8. Click Continue with my return.

If you are the Desktop version (disc or download):

1. Click Forms toward the upper right corner. 
2. Find Form 8995 on the list on the left.
3. Highlight it, then click Delete in the lower left corner of the reading pane.
4. Click on Step by Step in the upper right corner to return to the interview.
