Question

I'm confused about what to do with my Form 1099-Q and 1098-T. Because my refund turns into what I due and my parents say that isn't right. I need help please.

At first I get a refund of $93 but then I'll enter my Form 1099-Q and 1098-T and it turns into I have to pay over $1000.

You need to enter both the 1099 Q and your 1098 T into Turbo Tax.

To not have taxable income, your education expenses must be greater than the amount reported on the 1099 Q and any scholarship/financial aid reported on the 1098 T.

You may need to visit Other Education Expenses to add any Room and Board costs you may have. These expenses can't be used for a tax credit/deduction, but you can use these expenses to offset the income reported on the 1099 Q.
