I'm getting error message, "AL_8915E" related to pending update for Covid disaster distributions? Says update being released March 11 but still can't file. What do I do?

The TurboTax 8915-E should be available on Feb. 25 (pending IRS approval by then). Updates are usually at night so check on the 26th. Click here for detailed information.

Sorry, but I’m referring to just Alabama state taxes. I submitted my 8915 and my federal was accepted just fine. My state won’t go through because of the referenced error and nothing I do helps.

This may be related to something else. Some TurboTax Desktop customers are unable to submit their state return after previously filing their Federal return. We will be releasing an update.
