I'm not understanding this cash advance. One thing I read says you can apply for it now, but when I read on TurboTax it says you can apply at tax time. What do I do?

You cannot apply for a 2022 TurboTax refund advance. If you are eligible it will be offered to you after you complete the 2022 federal tax return, have a federal tax refund, selected direct deposit of the refund in the File section of the program. If eligible you would receive the refund advance after the federal tax return has been e-filed and Accepted by the IRS.

The IRS will not be accepting any type of e-filed tax return until mid to late January 2023.
